Editorial standards
Our goal is to publish practical electricity guidance for Texas shoppers that is accurate, source-backed, and updated as plan mechanics change.
How we build content
We combine Texas market structure knowledge, public regulatory resources, and plan-comparison workflows used in real enrollments. We avoid generic copy that does not help users make decisions.
Source and citation policy
Pages that include market claims must include source links to primary references such as PUCT, ERCOT, Power to Choose, and EIA datasets where relevant.
Review and update cycle
Pillar guides are reviewed at least annually and when major market or policy changes occur. City pages are reviewed on the same annual cycle and updated when local content quality thresholds are not met.
Quality threshold for indexing
City pages must meet minimum depth requirements (core sections, FAQ depth, provider detail, local context, and internal links) to be indexable. Pages below threshold are set to noindex until improved.
